Getting started

Feinwerk Plugins is the plugin store of feinwerk.io. All plugins for Matomo are developed in-house, automatically tested against several Matomo and PHP versions before every release, and installed and updated right inside your Matomo through the Feinwerk connector.

Requirements

• A self-hosted Matomo installation, version 5 or later. Matomo Cloud does not allow installing your own plugins.
• PHP 8.1 or later. Individual plugins may need more; their documentation says so.
• A Matomo account with super user access.
• For the connector: outgoing HTTPS connections from the Matomo server to plugins.feinwerk.io.

Free and paid plugins

• Free: use them freely, as a ZIP file or through the connector.
• Freemium: the base features are free, a license unlocks the Pro features.
• Paid: a subscription billed monthly, yearly or every two years. Payment and invoicing are handled by our reseller Paddle. Monthly and yearly plans come with a free 14-day trial: you provide a payment method, the first payment follows after 14 days, and if you cancel in your customer account before, you pay nothing.

A license covers one Matomo instance. For several instances you need a license for each.

Ready in five steps

1. Create a customer account. A purchase creates it automatically; for free plugins, sign up.
2. Add your Matomo instance. In your account under My instances. You get an instance token.
3. Install and connect the connector. See The Feinwerk connector.
4. Assign the license, for paid plugins only: in your account under My licenses.
5. Install the plugin. In Matomo under Administration → Plugins → Feinwerk Plugins, with one click.
